What is Ghostwriting? Is it Ethical?

Ghostwriting is when a person writes documents, whether books, letters, blogs, articles, or otherwise, while another person receives the credit for it. A ghostwriter may be hired to research and write the required documents and manuscripts or just write the text with the given information. Possibly the most common forms of work that ghostwriters are hired for are to write songs, website content, and memoirs, but the work doesn’t stop there. Virtually any kind of text can be ghostwritten. Entire series of books may be completed with the actual author remaining unknown. While this practice may seem controversial, it is not immoral. There is typically a contract between the writer and the person obtaining credit, specifically agreeing that the individual creating the works remains unknown. The writer receives payment for their work with that agreement. If the person is writing an essay for which a student was getting graded, that would be considered cheating.
